So, for some back story; I'm an only child, and my mother had heaps upon heaps of ideas for my name. I ended up being saddled with Autumn, though she's always told me a few names she had lined up.
Megan, Sunset, Brooklyn - all fairly standard names, with maybe the exception of Sunset. But then, there's Sky.
I think Sky is a lovely name, but she wasn't going to spell it like S-k-y over even like S-k-y-e. No, she was going to spell it S-k-i. Ski. Like the sport. But pronounced as Sky.
When asking my mom why she'd spell it that way, she said she just wanted it to be quirky. Thankfully, she recognizes in hindsight, it was a very bad idea. I'm so happy my pops came up with Autumn instead, and I majorly dodged that bullet.
