Trying to make me quit
Post Body

New hire. First week. Hired on Monday, asking for part time. Was offered 25 hours and 14/H. Perfect.

Skip to today, I’m sitting at 41 hours for the week, about to be 51 as I have a 9-6 today. Not only did I only get a single day off on my starting week, I haven’t been able to sit down and do any training.

I don’t have my numbers or credentials from corporate so I can’t clock in, can’t scan inventory, can’t do shit. So I’m just trusting my hours are being logged in properly.

First week, and I’m working 9 hour shifts to closing. Sometimes having to stay 20-30mins after while I just watch my ASM count money, set the alarm and lock the doors. I haven’t left the store to go home on time once.

First two weeks, I’m working 8 days back to back. Sometimes closing and getting home at 9:30, to have to come in at 8 in the morning. I’m just convinced this is retail hell, and they just want me to burn out and quit early.

Is this job worth it? At all?
