I needed to vent because I feel like I have no one to go to. To preface, I am 25(f) living at home due to strict traditionalist upbringing from an ethnic household. I got some new piercings over the weekend whilst my parents were away. I got a nose ring (nostril) and an 3rd lobe piercing. My mum said it looked nice but this morning my father told me that he does not like my nose ring or how many piercings I have even though I have had the majority of them for over 5 years. He said that a tasteful diamond is fine but when I go to my grandparents house I cannot have my piercings in besides my first lobes. He said that, "I will not allow you to walk around like some Aussie bush pig with holes all over your face." (I live in Australia)

I would have respected his opinions if he didn't throw that last comment in. I know that I should move out and I am in the process, I just needed a space to vent my frustrations.
