Things you would love to see added to custom battle
Post Body

I wonder if the devs are reading these threads. I haven't been reading this subreddit for long enough to see if they are, and I doubt it, but one can hope.

In every Total War game I've played I loved playing custom battles as much as campaign. Because of this I particularly loved the latest major update to WH3 as it added a couple of features I really wanted like Domination and FFA modes in custom battle and the option to use multiple lords.

What other things would you want added to custom battles? I'll begin:

  1. The option to play the other kinds of battle in Mirror of Madness. I was disappointed in WH2 that the Laboratory was only available for land battles and the same repeated when Mirror of Madness came out. I find myself using various mods from time to time to replicate some Mirror of Madness options.
  2. An option to add units from other races so you can have multi-race armies. I find myself either using the Generic Faction mod or making my own personal version when it's not updated to achieve that.
  3. An option to add campaign army abilities.
  4. A Large Armies option for endless survival battles where you start with a 40 units stack but can't bring reinforcements.
  5. A button if you pick Sandbox difficulty to switch armies, which would be great for testing or making cinematic videos.
  6. And finally, a rework of how endless survival battles are implemented so they will work on all maps and won't require the devs to make special maps for them.
