Does Warhammer 3 have the snowballing issue of other games?

In other Total Wars I've played, such as Empire, Napoleon, and Rome 2, I usually reach a point fairly quickly where the game gets too easy just because of all the territory I've conquered, and how much money I'm making. At least with Medieval 2, I have the Mongols and Timurids to give me a challenge later in the game.

Does Warhammer 3 have these same issues? I'm considering getting the game since it's on sale (really the whole trilogy bundle), but I'm not looking to just steamroll the AI after 30-40 turns.
