Can't download the DLC

I can't play the new DLC for some reason and it's getting really frustrating. I have paid for the DLC and redeemed the FLC and all of it says that it's in my steam library. But when I click the link to download the DLC/Thorek FLC, all it does is open the game and not download anything. In the game I dont have the option of playing any of the new content.

I'm playing on mac, is it possible that the new content isnt immediately playable on mac?

I'm sure I'm missing something very basic, but can anyone help me?
