The game was so interesting and intriguing. Pretty much all the issues with it, seem from being a rush job or not playtested enough. Considering the hundreds of hours of fun I had with it anyway, fighting large pitched battles, what would Empire: Total War look like, without the thick layer of jank, and with modern graphics? Think Fall of the Samurai, only with a LOT more flavor and variety from the wider geography.
What if the AI european nations truly felt like competitors for overseas territory and trade? What if Revolutions and independence wars had a greater impact on the game world? If each nation could have its own Napoleon, and each colony could have its own Bolivar, all that you could play as?
