Some of you here may be familiar with Fourth Age: Total War, but for those of you here who are not, welcome!

It is a mod based on the Lord of the Rings and the unfinished manuscript by Tolkien titled 'The New Shadow', set in the centuries after the death of King Aragorn, as Middle-earth erupts into total war once more.

Fourth Age: Total War is one of the oldest Total War modifications around, having been in the works since the release of Rome: Total War. It is for the original Rome: Total War, and had its latest full release in 2016, with another update currently being in the works.

As a mod, Fourth Age is distinguished by its fidelity to the books by JRR Tolkien, as well as its stability and innovation in overhauling the game into the world of Middle-earth.
