First off, I have no idea what I'd be doing, how to build a pc, how to set it up, what to buy or all that. All I know is that preferably, I'd like a gaming PC. Whether my parents will let me is another matter, but I long for good strategy games, good frame rates on medieval 2, let alone rome 2 or attilla. I have a crappy acer laptop, which has been good for me for youtube and a few games and homework, but not for gaming. I am currently using a PS4 for gaming.
But my question is, would £600 be enough?(I'd like it to be as cheap as possible, but that seems like the ball park for good looking, smooth strategy games, and hopefully it'd last me a few years before upgrading).
I am unsure what to buy, apparently a gtx700 something seems good value, and intel i5 or i7 (Like I said, not a clue), and I'll get a good bit of RAM, and possibly try to cheap out on everything else. Don't need a fancy case, I still need to buy a monitor and desk, heck I need to find somewhere to put it, I probably won't even be able to buy it.
I have around £390, and that is money from everywhere, every penny from bank accounts and my wallet. My 16th birthday is in April, so hopefully it will top me up just about, I don't know. It also means I can start to work during the summer, possibly during sixth form in september.
I have yet to sort out the specifics, I'm just looking at the moment if it would be feasible, and enjoyable, on this budget. I'm sorry I've dragged it out, I have no idea what I'm doing. I just wanted to give a bit of background, as this may not be my last time coming for help. Sorry.
So, is £600 or less a feasible budget for medium-high modern graphics? Any other advice on what I should buy/or other advice for a first timer? Thanks in advance.
