I am very grateful for Nick Nurse and the Nursery. He has had some great coaching and really good years. Even helped us win our first ring.
However, the one who comes next has one job and that is to help Scottie Barnes become a superstar.
That means a coach that prioritizes running the offense through Scottie and allows Pascal, Fred, OG, and Poeltl to receive great passes to do their respective things.
Also, running players into the ground with heavy minutes is a bad idea, even if the bench is weak. It would have been smarter for Nick to balance minutes, and show the FO this bench sucks and we either be sellers at the deadline or go into lux tax (which would make 0 sense). I think overplaying the starters over inflated the teams position in the East last year.
The future has to be the development of Scottie Barnes!
