Looking for biking groups

I'm new to biking and took my first ride last week with some friends and managed about 40km. The feeling of a group ride is what I want where I'm in a pack and can't stop unless the group does.

What are some ways I can find groups of riders who are both novice and don't require me to pay a significant member fee to a biking club?

I looked up biking clubs in my area and the Etobicoke biking club costs $75 which is a little steep for right now. Any other ways I can find groups of cyclists?
