So a few weeks ago it felt like I (28M) had something stuck in my throat. Took a look and noticed that my right side tonsil was swollen up but no pus no nothing. It hurt mildly for about 24 hours and I did some saltwater rinses and the pain went away but was still swollen. Went to urgent care and tested for strep and came back negative so I quit worrying about it. A week has gone by, the swelling hasn't subsided and beginning 48 hours ago it feels like I have something in my throat again and now it hurts for real when I swallow and I can see something white at the very bottom/back of my swollen tonsil. Tried to take a photo but it's too far back to see with my camera. Could it be an abscess of some kind or worse? Or if it's a tonsil stone can I take care of it myself? Really trying to keep from going back to the doctors office again so any insight/experience would be useful
