I have always had an incredibly strong gag reflex, to the point that I gag at least once every time I brush my teeth, and have accidentally made myself throw up on multiple occasions while scrubbing my tongue. Sticking my tongue out as far as I can to try and find the stone often makes me gag, too.
I have always had really large tonsils, and maybe I’m doing something wrong, but the back of my tongue blocks the view of at least half of my tonsils even with my tongue fully out.
I know I have a tonsil stone, the taste in the back of my mouth is so bad that I don’t even want to eat. However, I can’t figure out how to get it out, because I can’t even see my tonsils, and even if I could, I would likely throw up trying to extract it.
Any advice on how to remove a stone without actually touching my tonsil? Or a method to at least get rid of this awful taste in my throat? Thanks!
