Recommendations for easing into leg day on Tonal

Post Body

I am only in my early 40s but I swear to God my knees feel 60 years old when I try to do squats or any of the leg movements on Tonal. I must admit during pre-COVID I was working out 3-4 times per week with a personal trainer and was in the best shape of my life. We got a Tonal about 18 months ago and were hitting it hard, but then my other half had a major surgery and I didn't want to go full steam ahead and leave them in the dirt. When they were ready to get back to it, I broke my foot and strained my shoulder. All that to say, I'm ready to really kick into high gear and have been inspired by Matt Bomer's workouts, which are 100% upper body. But I know I need to take care of my legs as well. Any advice to get my knees in better shape? I legit cannot do the squat-esque movements on Tonal right now.
