Took my 4yo and 16mo swimming this morning, which they both adore, and as we were getting his lordship (16mo) into his costume, he was fussing. I said, "We've got to get you changed - don't you want to go swimming?" and he shook his head "nonononono", I assumed in response to getting changed. But I know how much he loves swimming, so I got him wrangled into his swimming costume, he's cool and has stopped fussing, happy baby, so off we go.
Got him into the pool, and he's crying and climbing up me. Because...duhhhh...he does not want to go swimming. As he very clearly told me. Like, why did I even ask him if I wasn't going to listen to the answer? I feel like an absolute moron.
