Anybody else’s toddler love Mister Rogers over DT? And, if so, anyone else super happy about it like me?
My son is 20 months old and was getting into some stupid show on YouTube that’s was just repetitive nonsense words with no substance, so I banned it. He doesn’t know that, obviously, because I just tried to redirect his attention to PBS. I get sensory overload very easily and hearing high pitched whining and shouting is a huge trigger and when I saw PBS had some full length episodes of MR it seemed like a godsend. Daniel Tiger is good but I feel like he whines a bit too much.
And thankfully my son really enjoys MR’s soothing, calm voice and has even started communicating his feelings better! I mentioned it to my mom and she said mister rogers was my favorite when I was little. It’s funny and sweet that my son enjoys it so much too.
Now I always recommend mister rogers to all my friends for wholesome tv shows. Thanks for reading my ramble.
