I feel indifferent about my toddler

I’m not sure if this is the right subreddit to post this in. If it’s not, please redirect me.

I don’t really have a lot of emotional attachment towards my toddler. He’s one and a half now.

The other day, my kid’s godfather asked who would get custody of him if I separated with my husband. I said, “actually, I wouldn’t even fight him. If he wants the kid, he can have it.” Which is a horrible thing to say, supposedly.

I never wanted kids. I don’t like kids. Sure, they are cute, but I just don’t feel attached to mine. I care about him, but it’s definitely not out of love.

Is this normal? What’s your experience?
