My kiddo is not a toddler yet (11 months) but as he gets closer I feel myself bringing more stuff. When he was a baby I had my boobs, a diaper, and some wipes.
Now I need to carry snacks, a water bottle, toys, his shoes (because he’s walking but also throws them off half the time), the bulky carrier , a change of clothes (how do they always get wet?) and my planner for all the million and 1 play dates we seem to have.
I went from a cross body bag to idk. I need to be able to crawl through tunnels, bend over, chase, and move with it not falling off, but also need to be able to get to wallet keys while holding a child who just wants to run.
Has anyone found the perfect solution?
I use a mini north face backpack only 10in in height and for trips to the library or w.e it’s perfect. My wallet is small, I take only a small travel size pack of wipes if needed and a single pull-up. I can fit his drink and a small container of goldfish. Plus a bar on my side pockets. I use a carabiner clip on my keys to clip to the handle of my bag and the front zipper pocket is perfect for my phone. There’s been play dates where he got sandy or wet and he just wore it home and we changed him there he doesn’t care. I also leave a pair of clothes in the car just in case. It’s been a world of difference grocery shopping with him to have my hands free!
