I’m talking real colic - sustained screaming for hours every day for months. Not “colicky” or gassy or sometimes fussy at night. You know who you are.
My son screamed if his eyes were open (and he didn’t sleep much). He was full on colic for about 10 weeks and then was generally fussy for the first year. When he started to walk at 13 months, a complete personality change began. He evolved into a very happy, silly, affectionate and sweet little toddler. But he is also very strong willed and definitely shows sensory seeking behaviors. I’m wondering if being colic had anything to do with that?
Do any of your formerly colic kids display sensory issues and/or strong willed personalities? Curious how all these babies turn out and if there are any patterns over the long run?
My youngest is a bit over a year. He's still VERY vocal when he's upset but is honestly 1000x more manageable than the 4-9 month ages. I used to stress about going anywhere with him and now I prefer to take him with me just for the company and snuggles. There's definitely a light at the end of the tunnel.
