Question about biting, Premie almost 1, 11 months actual, 9 adjusted.

Hi all, my kiddo is almost 1 so I figured this was the best place to ask. Recently he has started this thing where when he starts to get frustrated, he bites himself on the hand or arm. I noticed he's also started to suck on his thumb/finger more when he gets overtired but doesn't want a paci. Any tips for helping him? I think he doesn't know how else to express his frustration and I dont know what to do. As far as milestones he's super close to walking, and says "uh oh" mainly. Thank you!
