Post Body

Hello I have a 2.5-year-old that will be three in October I made a post about this before but I didnā€™t really get a lot of comments but I just would like some reassurance that he doesnā€™t have OCD or something bothering him. Heā€™s a generally sweet boy he makes a mess of other things but thereā€™s certain things that he collects in a dinosaur bucket all his dinosaur toys and a few trucks and stuff he wants stacked in there and if I take one out to put it into a different basket he put it back. Iā€™m not sure if this is just toddler behavior but I feel bad like he doesnā€™t want to play with his toys because he wants them all in that bucket instead. It breaks my heart. His vocabulary is great heā€™s social and happy. Eats good.

Maybe Iā€™m over reacting but it would be nice to hear some stories of kids that are completely normal they did similar things for a while and maybe itā€™s just a phase.

I just took a bunch of dinosaurs out of the ā€œcollectionā€ bucket and set them up on the table- he let me and didnā€™t have a fit. Heā€™s playing with the stuff now- another thing he does is he turns his plates to always have the big side in the front near him, if I turn it he will turn it back. Maybe just a product of routines and not OCD I donā€™t know.
