With the huge number of crimes taking place over the Labour Day long weekend, as well as a shooting at a high school in a safer neighbourhood like agincourt, it's obvious who the glorifies of violence are online for the youth of the city. We're a city which should still have the stereotype of all of us living in igloo's. Not being closer to war zone Iraq(respectfully). Some kids straight up think the city is on par with a war zone and weaponizing yourself is mandatory. Pretty sure these pages don't even have real journalism credentials. Yet many youth can't tell that journalism needs those credentials sadly, trusting those pages. They weirdly steal from The Beaverton as well, which just straight up surprises me. I don't know why actual news outlets don't report on the cancer that is Instagram pages like these. Also the open ended questions to start a war in the comments really manipulates followers and pushed their agendas such as homophobic ones. I feel that all people by now would do themselves a huge favour by unfollowing cancerous pages like those, and I don't know why people lazily keep them as an authentic news source.
