I am an accountant from Canada looking to work in the US on a TN visa. Been looking into concurrent employment options and while it seems that a second job can be added while I am already working on a TN status, the rules don't seem to be very clear as to whether the second job has to belong to the list of occupations required by the TN system as well. I have been meaning to take up part time work as a film/video editor and eventually switch careers.
Does this mean I either have to give up the career switch or working in the US dream or do the laws allow any nature of second job?
