Sprint customer migrated to T-Mobile denied CellSpot for house

Friend of mine is a Sprint customer, just got new S21 and 12 Pro Max today. Told the in store rep his service was horrible at home. Said to call 611 and get a cell spot. He called in and they told him he can’t get one because he’s Sprint. Is this accurate? What to do next?
