Please donāt judge me! I always billed it as a cheesy love story, which I usually detest, but of course in reality itās so much more. Iām so glad I gave it a chance, and I havenāt been able to stop thinking about it since.
I remember in elementary school (~1998) being both obsessed with and terrified by the Titanic: An Illustrated History childrenās book I got at the book fair. It seems my obsession has been rekindled.
Where do you suggest I start my research? I plan to read and watch āA Night To Rememberā but not sure where to go from there.
Iām mostly interested in the lives and experiences of the passengers and crew, as well as what life was like at that time. Iām also interested in reading more about Titanic conspiracies (though not the one that posits that Titanic was switched with Olympic for insurance fraud. That is easily debunked because the two ships were not identical). Iām fascinated by the stories that seemed to predict the sinking of the Titanic, as well as any weird coincidences or ironies involving the passengers.
Thanks so much!
