One day at work I had a lot of down time to think and got thinking about what a titanic tv series would look like. I then got into this idea of how cool a miniseries would be with a big network backing it like HBO or apple. If I had to pitch an idea here is what I would do.
The show would be a one season miniseries with 6-9 episodes hour each. The shows first episode would go over in quick detail the ships departure, voyage, sinking, and rescue from carpathia, introducing us to multiple important characters and there roles. The rest of the episodes would then take place during the titanic inquires. Each episode would focus on a certain character given their testimony during the inquiry which would be told through flash backs in detail. Example one episode could be All about lightoller and his role in the sinking, the life boat situation and what not, another could be on Bruce Ismay and go into flashbacks that show scenes of the idea of titanic being pitched and the construction of the ship and his role in white star line and his eventual escape on a lifeboat during the sinking and his life afterwards. This would be a great way to learn about the ship and the people. And if it had a big budget behind it then it could be an amazing show worthy for those wanting titanic minus jack and rose with modern film making techniques. What do you all think?
