I bought Titanfall at launch, I "Believed the hype" as it where. But outside of a few people it feels like I'm the only one. I come from a CoD background more than a BF background (Not that I have anything against BF or it's community.) and I wasn't necessarily the best CoD player to begin with (K/D usually between 0.7 and 1.5) there were days were I'd rank top of the leader board over and over and days were I would bring my team down immensely.
Since I've started playing Titanfall I tend to rank MVP with the highest pilot and AI kills, I've gone quite a few matches in a row with 0 deaths, sometimes the only deaths I have are a result of ignoring the spectres while I'm taking a turret. Needless to say I have fallen in love with Titanfall and eagerly await the DLC and hopefully a Titanfall 2 (Or something to that effect).
I'm afraid tho that the community isn't large enough to warrant a sequel or if the community will still be alive in a few months, everywhere on the internet I see the same things "CoD clone" "Not ps4 not worth it" "Ai game" "Dead player base", I don't get it everyone hates this game most people I see hating on it haven't even played it, it worries me. I would like to see this new FPS last but it seems like in a few months this will be another FPS dead in the water. It's been out a month and already it seems like everyone turned against it, and as far as I can tell Respawn has been doing a very good job since release, the game was playable on launch (which apparently may or may not have been an issue with BF4?) they've been fixing glitches left and right, I even got to have a conversation with one of the Devs about a glitch I was running into when Nuclear Ejecting the Ogre over twitter, they gave us exactly what was advertised. Isn't that all we should be asking of a studios premier title?
Maybe I'm wrong about all the Anti Titanfall hype and I hope I am, it's just worrying you know?
