Greetings all, I have an SUV in need of a new set of tires. I love in NJ and do mostly highway but deal with iced and snowed-up roads, and some occasional mountain dirt roads during hunting season. Plenty of potholes and bad patches so something sturdy would help.
Now, the OEM were police pursuit tires (245/55R18) Eagle RS As) but I'm far more concerned about weather and traction than performance at 90 mph speeds.
Through some Veteran connections I have discounts if I can pick from Firestone, Goodyear or Bridgestone. Limited selection prompted me to consider a small upsize to 235/60R18 (diameter 28.61 to 29.10)
I've been looking at Goodyear WeatherReadys, Firestone Weathergrips, Destination LEs, Wrangler Trail Runners
Any help would be incredibly helpful. Thank you
