But my rules for tipping are as follows: NEVER: -
Fast food/drive thru Large Chain Restaurants Certain Establishments Depending on Service Coffee Shops (See exceptions for exclusions) Places tipping is done thru a shitty kiosk (I'm not tipping a checkout attendant)
ALWAYS: out of respect - some of the following I know on a first name basis
Fishing boat aids Businesses within my local area that I know (My favorite restaurant knows me so I always tip $40 ) Barber ($20 ) Taxi/Cab services (Amount greatly depends on service) ($5-50 depending on cleanliness of vehicle) Elec. Repair (oddly a really big budget) (Unlimited) 7-11 employee who is mad chill Local Deli - always tip change plus $10 (Only order a $7-10 sandwich regularly)
EXCEPTIONS: - see first list
If the server makes noticable effort/conversation (Rare)
If the server recommends a phenomenal choice (Common and something I ask about)
If the coffee isn't expensive and is made properly (Very rare. Only know one local)
