Edit: Daughter, not son.
I remember seeing a post on notalwaysright.com (or a similar site) a few years ago; a mother and her daughter had just enjoyed a Broadway show (possibly based on a popular Disney movie, maybe Frozen), and are waiting at the stage door to catch a glimpse of the show's cast on their way out. The mother was berating this poor staff member of the theater when she was told that the actors would no longer be in costume at the stage door, because she had promised her daughter that they would get to meet Elsa (or whoever the main character was) after the show. After some back-and-forth between the mother and the theater employee, the employee says "ma'am, this isn't Disney World. You're here to meet the performers, not the characters."
I tried searching on notalwaysright, but to no avail. If anyone has info on this, I gladly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
