Character was from what I would call a B-List comic book publisher? Not from DC Comics or Marvel, but well-known enough to be sold in stores. This was in the mid -'90s and I bought it at a dollar store can't remember which one it was, though.
He was obviously modeled off Superman and had salt n pepper hair. He was also the leader of a group similar to the Justice League, I suppose. That's all I can recall. The drawing style was more akin to Marvel's, though.
