I'm not sure when this movie was made I saw a bit of it I think about 5-ish years ago. It's not old, I'm guessing 2000s. I can't remember if it was him that ordered the penguin or if it was someone else that ordered it for him, but he got a real penguin instead of a plush one (I believe that is what he thought it was supposed to be.) After trying to return it and being unsuccessful, he decides to keep it. I believe the man had kids but I can't be completely sure.
