Hello, I've been looking for a word that conveys a meaning of doing something offhandedly or carelessly without expectations that it will succeed. However, when I google it, they only give words like "selfless" or something to the meaning of without expectation from OTHERS.
The word I want is something like:
I -----ly bought a lottery ticket and somehow won.
John -----ly brought up his idea during the meeting and it became the next big thing. (He didn't expect anything to come out of it but it did).
