I've been obsessing about this quote recently, and I don't remember where it comes from. It might be a tv show, or it might be a quote from a Pathfinder AP I read. I don't really remember.
It's two celestial/demonic beings talking to each other, describing how they are different from mortal humans.
Whatever sort of angel/god/demon they are, they exist to fulfill a certain purpose. Whereas humans have free will and are not necessarily directed by a purpose in their life.
