I think it was feature-length but it doesn't seem to be one of the feature films. A guy shows up who is evil or semi-evil, wears white and red armor similar to Ranger armor (possibly with a cape), kicks the team's ass. In the climax he helps the heroes fight the main villain, and I think he sacrifices himself, because he is (iirc) the Red Ranger's dad.

~~I believe it was set on a space station~~*, not the original Mighty Morphin team I don't think, but definitely 90s/early 00s.

*I was thinking of Lost Galaxy, and I don't think it's Lost Galaxy.

In retrospect it might've been the Red Ranger's brother? Or possibly just a previous Red Ranger. Not PR In Space though.
