So there's this book that I read in the late 00's (best guess being 2007-2010ish) that now I can't find any hint of anywhere. I would say it was directed at either okder children or teenagers. I was in elementary school when I read it, but also I had a high school reading level so it's possible that it was a more advanced book.
It was a collection of short stories (around 3 per book) maybe 2-4 pages long at most, all relating to different diseases or medical conditions. Possibly even one or two books related to non medical events. Specifically I remember mention of Mad Cow disease, a staph infection on a guy's shin that he received during recreational soccer, and maggots in a burger.
I've searched as many keyword combinations as I could think of over the years but nothing ever comes up! It's one of those things that I forget about most times, but every so often I remember and it bugs the hell out of me.
