Hello, this is my first post on this subreddit simply because this has been bugging me for quite a while now.
When I was in elementary school (I'm a high school senior now), I remember regularly seeing this commercial for an animated sci-fi movie in the early 2010's. I never actually watched the movie, nor do I even remember it being played in theaters despite it being advertised.
It was CG animation, very cheap looking, definitely not Pixar or Dreamworks. I vaguely remember there being some anthropomorphic animal characters (maybe a rat?) and a muppet-looking character that had gray skin and black hair. The trailer had barely any sound effects and mostly just futuristic-sounding music, voice acting, and narration that sounded like a mix between a woman working a sex hotline and a weird AI Cortana-like voice. A scene from the trailer was the gray muppet guy running and leaping to make it back on to a spaceship. I also remember the trailer ending with the muppet character saying something to the likes of "That was awesome!"
As for the title, it sounded pretty generic. Something that had to do with "Space" or a "Race" or "Adventure" or "Escape" and also had 3D included at the end of the title.
The weird thing is, the commercials made it seem like the movie was more of a 4D attraction than an actual movie and I genuinely don't remember any posters or advertising in movie theaters at the time.
The timeframe had to be between 2012-2014; I live in NYC if that could be of any use.
I only remember seeing the ad for it a handful of times, and haven't been able to find any other information online, so theoretically this could turn into a lost media case but I wanted to go here first to see if anyone could help.
BTW, although they sound similar, it's definitely not Escape from Planet Earth, Fly Me to the Moon), or Planet 51 since I've seen all those movies; I watched a lot of movies as a kid (still do).
Anyways, I mostly just want to find this movie to prove to myself that it's real and I'm not fabricating a false movie in my head. I also just want to find out what the fuck it was. I know for sure it wasn't made by a big name studio or even a smaller one like Lionsgate or Summit Entertainment. For years, it just boggled my mind as to who made it and why I could never find it. Alright, enough typing for me, good luck redditors!
