Hey guys,
I was listening to the Blindboy Podcast a few weeks ago (the episodes I were listening to were a few years old). He went on about how Michael Collins is seen as an example of a hyper-masculine male dominant figure, and de Valera is painted as a effeminate, submissive, conniving figure.
He then went on to name a specific psychological/cultural theory that this relates to. Where throughout history we have this dichotomy between masculine and feminine figures existing side-by-side like this.
That is the part I have since forgotten and need help with.
In his podcast he mentions Carl Jung a lot so might correlate with something he has mentioned?
Does this ring any bells for anybody? It's not hegemonic masculinity, I did check that.
