If I remember correctly, the book I'm looking for is a book that has not been translated into English. It is similar to Ulysses, especially in its use of steam of consciousness. It reportedly has a sequence where the inner monologue of a character is so detailed that it takes pages for him up cross a room.
Does anyone know anything about this? I have such a clear memory of it, but I'm starting to think i dreamed it up because I can't find anything about it.
