So I saw this crappy but weird and kind of interesting in theory movie when I was much younger. It’s about this family who are cursed to be stalked by a monster, or something...

So there’s an old man who everyone thinks is this revered, cult director of monster movies, but it turns out the monsters are real and he’s cursed to be attacked by a new monster every few years. And the attacks turn into movies, I guess? I dunno, it’s a weird concept.

Anyway, the curse passes to his son or his grandson, and there are returning motifs in each of the movies within this movie, like there always has to be an attack at a high school party where a jock will die, so the main character knows where the monster will strike next. Oooh, and I think the monster always needs to be destroyed in a unique way, so by this point it’s immune to a ton of things.

That’s the best I can describe it, I can’t find this film on IMDb, Wikipedia, or a general google. I’m probably just a fucking idiot, but I hope you can give me a hand.
