This movie was on late at night on a public channel back in yon-yesteryear. I'm almost sure it did not come out when I saw it circa 2008 based on what I remember of the film quality. As a young lad I actually chickened out of this film probably before the end of the first act and always have regretted it.

It was set in in perhaps 1000 AD and begins with some horrendous thing or another being done to a later Viking or Norse Village somewhere in Europe. The Village is cursed by these... monsters... and is assembles the group based on a seer's prophesy. This is where I remember the line "The last man can be no Norse man" or something similar to that. The monsters were tall dark and had animal skull/antlered heads. There were several of them and they came in the night to kill/eat/terrorize the people (?)

I'll take any guesses I can get and probably end up on amazon buying several DVDs this weekend so If you recognize this film and know where I can stream it I'd be very obliged if you could help me out.
