I can’t remember if it was Netflix or Amazon, but I believe it was a BBC production.
I only saw one episode. It takes place during the 17th or 18th century and opens on a bunch of military men discussing war and they’re at a lavish party. I want to say somewhere in France but they’re also arguing about Siberia or Russia.
I distinctly remember a scene towards the end of the episode where one of the main characters has to go see his dying father and so the scene takes place at night. they aren’t too fond of him there, maybe a bastard or orphan the dying man took in.
I know this is really vague, that’s all I remember.
