So I don't remember much about this show but I do know that where episode started with the main character being yelled at in a Russian or Asian soldier and every episode the main character gets closer and close to pushing the button. I also remember that towards the end of the season he was on trail in front of parliament for something. Also the last episode was like an alternate timeline. If anyone can help me piece this together I would really appreciate it.

Edit: this is a dry comedy show and it was set in London, though the main character might have been American
