I've got this subplot stuck in my head. I can't clearly picture the characters or setting but I can remember what happens I think.

A male and female character want to get married. Turns out the female character is already married. It happened on an island holiday. She assumed it wouldn't stick but it did.

They try to track down the husband so she can get a divorce/annulment and marry the man she wants to. Turns out the husband has been waiting for her and even built a house for them to live in, in the meantime. The husband is described or shown to be big and incredibly handsome. A real alpha.

I believe the story ends with the boyfriend convincing the husband that he loves the woman more than the husband ever could, so they get the divorce and she can marry her new man.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Anyone know where it's from?
