[TOMT] [MOVIE] Maybe a horror movie, can only remember one scene

There was a movie I saw a bit of years ago. I think it was either from the 80's or 90's, though I'm not entirely sure. The only scene I can remember is a boy, who I think was the protagonist, was going to a new boarding school. A few boys greet him by shaking his hands, but then don't let go of his hand. The new boy bites the hand of the boy holding his hand. Aside from this, I'm pretty sure it was a horror movie and I think I saw it on the SciFi channel. Thanks for any help.
