This may have been a movie but I feel more like it was an episode of a TV series like the x files or a mini series on scifi or something. I remember it being creepy but not being traumatized by any gore or anything but still mature.

The scene I remember most vividly includes two pre teen boys under a bridge. A mantis person(?) (I think they were bugs in people skins) appeared and the boys tried to run away but one got his foot tangled in a bundle of wire (I have always been wary of getting my foot caught in wire since seeing this). The other boy is trying to pull him free but the mantis person is slowly approaching and they are screaming I think.

I also remember a cut to his ankle where the wire was digging into his skin and making him bleed but I could be making that up. The scene ends with the camera planning away and i think you can see the shadow of the bug shedding his human skin before he kills them.
