This website was featured on /r/internetisbeautiful. It was lay out like a story, with arrows on the left and right of the screen to go to the previous/next page. I can't recall too much, but this is what I've got:
I'm fairly certain that the town was demolished, prompting the creation of the website. It interviews a bunch of the ex-residents and displays pictures and videos from the town's past. One of the stories told was of a satellite crashing near the town, and what people remembered about it.
That's pretty much all that I remember, I hope that somebody can find this :D
