So I probably saw this about 12 years ago, very young watching whatever was on TV with my parents. It was right at the beginning of the movie, if I remember correctly the ground opened up and there was a massive amount of light coming from the crevice (it was night or at least very dark), and this guy rose out of it with a sort of echoey scream and settled crouched on the ground as it closed under him. The camera cut to a super close shot of his face as he slowly looked up at the viewer intensely. I flinched and my parents turned it off, but my mom said that he was a fallen angel when I asked. I remember the scene being tinted red but that may just be my memory.
