I was watching this video a few days ago. While the name of the song hasn't been identified (that I've seen), I've been wondering what genre it would fall under. I want to find music similar to this so that I can listen at work.
It strikes me as a type of jazz. Characteristics that I want to point out:
Upbeat, high tempo
"Cool" piano from 2:35 - 2:50
Music generates a sense of excitement and tension (might be posted to /r/frisson). Particularly when the violins play between 1:53 - 2:10, and the piano from 2:10 -2:35.
Music generates a sense of discovery and accomplishment. Particularly between 2:50 - 3:20, and 6:20 - 6:58.
Thanks for reading!
