[TOMT] [Quote] Old(er) about failing to consider those who disagree does yourself a disservice
Author Summary

Post Body

If my memory serves correctly it goes,

"Failing to consider those who disagree may have as deep and intellectual of considerations does a disservice..[to you and them]."

I'm surely botching it. But nonetheless it is of that general sentiment. By failing to recognize that someone may hold the opposite view for equally valid reasons you do both parties a great disservice.

I remember originally seeing the quote her on reddit (perhaps /r/QuotesPorn). I've since search that subreddit, to no avail. Likewise I have tried finding it based on the words, phrases, and time period through google.

More Information:

Style: Image is stylistically similar to this.

Time Period: 1700-1800s

Who?: I am left remembering thinking it was a politician, academic, or polymath.
